I am Amanda, Owner/Creator of Project Remission, LLC. I am a Mom, Caregiver and Multitasker. I began making adaptive, hospital style shirts for my husband when he was going through Chemo. He had a PICC line in his arm and was nearly always hooked up to some sort of IV. His practitioners needed easy access to his line, so regular tshirts were not an option, as we had to make sure that his clothing did not pull on his PICC line. However, hospital gowns are awful and not comfortable. I began taking a couple of his old tshirts and adapting them myself. He loved them, so I made more. He ended up needing four abdominal surgeries after his Cancer Journey began. As his needs changed, so did my focus. I have since expanded a bit and now make Port Pillows and Recovery Pillows for Ports and Post Surgical comfort. My husband loves his Recovery Pillow, as it makes his necessary car rides much more comfortable.

Our goal is to help provide the same type of comfort that he received to others. Cancer Sucks. Surgery is usually more work to recover than we ever anticipate. Recovery is hard. Through it all, comfort matters! If we can help anyone else's Recovery Journey be a bit more comfortable, then we consider our shop a success.

Every purchase made from our shop affords us the ability to donate comfort items to current Cancer Warriors. This year so far, we have donated 181 Comfort Items to organizations in PA, WV, OH, NY, MI and beyond. (As of 6/1/2024)
