Exactly what I was hoping it would be. I struggled to decide between the larger or smaller version for quite a while. I’m happy with my decision but am already convinced I’ll be buying the smaller version as well in the future. The weight of the brass, as well as the square edges gives a real sense of control and helps steady the hand for precise cuts. Perhaps the only downfall of the weight and length is that it can be a bit back heavy when you grip close to the blade on the knurled part of the blade holder. I am a leather crafter on a constant quest to upgrade and replace the entry level tools I started with, with ones that will stand the test of time and outperform the semi disposable ones I started with. This checks both of those boxes for me. I cannot imagine a way to damage or wear out this tool.

A very durable and nicely made brass exacto #1 blade handle. A hefty weight and awesomely made. Already ordered one for a #2 blade.
