It was a total accident! Shortly after moving to north central Florida, I discovered the beautiful and versatile Southern Yellow Pine. After some time shopping for a horse property, I decided on the one that is home to this unbelievable pine tree forest. Some of them look like they are about 300 feet tall! I'll never forget the first time I saw one of the pine cones on the ground. I thought to myself "I hope this never lands on someone's head". I go around picking these pine cones up, almost every day, but I'm still in awe, and have not yet been injured ;) I know there are many other home-makers and crafter's out there, just like me, who love to decorate and make special gifts for their loved ones. I've been a seller on Etsy for about six years now, making masks for my other Etsy store, SoCalDesignCo. After having discovered the pine cones and knowing Etsy, I absolutely had to open a store dedicated to sharing these amazing pine cones! As I have looked around at the other jumbo pine cone sellers, I have seen the prices. Pine cones are pretty expensive! If you are buying them individually to create those nice, long garlands to decorate your home for Christmas or make that large scale wreath that will have everyone clapping, you may end up broke! My solution; the 'big box' of jumbo's which will cost about 50% less than the average price. I am hoping this will help make all your pine cone craft ambitions come true!
