The leather is very nice and the bag is well made. It hangs nicely and the wide strap is a nice detail. For me, there were too many zippers for the internal pockets. They constrict access to the bag and with the nice flap, they aren't needed. They were easy to remove to make a much more usable pouch. The other issue is that the small bag that I bought is about half an inch too short to hold a quality paperback book - particularly a book nearing an inch thick. On the positive side, the bag is perfect for an iPad Mini - even with a highly protective case. All and all, I'd certainly buy again, but the slightly larger bag might be a better choice for many people.
