In order to preserve the natural properties of copper, the bracelets are not treated against oxidation.
Some appreciate the effect and the lively colors that this oxidation produces over time, but you can always restore the original luster of your bracelets by cleaning them with everyday products such as ketchup, soy sauce, or a mixture of lemon and salt.
Remember to always dry your bracelets thoroughly after cleaning them.
It can happen that copper leaves a greenish deposit on your skin following its oxidation. When copper comes in contact with oxygen, water, sweat and or oils, it can leave copper carbonate on the skin, which appears as a green layer. This reaction is not systematic, but it is quite natural and is not at all harmful.
You can also limit their oxidation by following these tips:
- Avoid wearing them in water
- When you are not wearing them, keep them in an airtight bag (supplied with your bracelets)
- Polish them from time to time with the cleaning cloth, also supplied with your bracelets.
