"This pattern allowed me to make a beautiful historically accurate jacket in just a week. That being said, this pattern is not for a novice sewist. I have a lot of historical sewing experience, and I still found the pleats quite challenging with the somewhat limited instructions. The instructions are fairly short, and they do the job, but there were a few tricky steps. Some drawings in the pattern display multiple steps in one drawing, so you need to look closely to the diagrams. This pattern is made to be hand sewn, and while I usually hand sew costumes, I only had 4 days to make this. I struggled to convert many of the steps to machine sewing because the pattern is designed for hand sewing. Overall, this is a gorgeous pattern if you are willing to hand sew and deal with a few hard steps!"
