Java the Hoot began when I started to give handmade cards to my loved ones instead of purchasing mass-produced ones from the store. I have always loved making handmade crafts for others and being able to give that person something that I made; something that is unique for them. After awhile, I decided to start drawing different characters for greeting cards.
The name came about as a trifecta of sorts when I combined my love for coffee, owls, and Star Wars, eventually creating Java the Hoot. All illustrations are my original designs drawn from inspiring photographs with my collection of India Ink Pens.
