I am Debbie Crowe and the creator behind these beautiful and enchanting handmade invitations, wishing tree/gift tags, boxes, etc. I love making pretty things and sharing them with others.
I am a mother of five beautiful children, the "bratty bunch" as I like the call them. When my husband and I married it was a second marriage for both of us. I had two boys, he had two girls, and then we had one together (another girl). So we were one short of the "Brady Bunch," thus the "Bratty Bunch." But they weren't bratty, them fit together perfectly and life was good.
Now, I am a southern mom. And we southern women love to spoil our children. We cook, clean, laugh, cry, dance, play and hold our families and friends close to our hearts. We try to make every moment special and hope to create lasting, loving memories for our children. But one day something awlful happens, they grow up and leave us. They get married, go off to college, go to Japan, leave for basic training, or worst yet WAR!
If you did your job right they come back to visit and you still get to do the mama thing. But it never seems to last long enough. I had been fortunate enough to help with both of my sons' weddings. Then last year my eldest daughter, Bekki got married and I got to do it ALL! Boy oh boy, was I in my glory. We had so much fun.
It was so important to me that every little detail be just perfect for her. (Side note: Bekki is my stepdaughter, but I had never used that word. She has always been MY daughter since the day I had said, "I do" to her dad and she alway will be mine until I draw my last breath.) I don't think she knew exactly what she wanted. Honestly, I think she would have been happy with some flowers and a few tablecloths. But see I needed to give her what she had dream of but was afraid to ask for, because that's what mama's do.
I showed her lots of pictures and listened alot. Then I found creative people in my area and I turned to Etsy and the rest I made (in my spare time...lol). The trick was to create an illusion with layers of materials. I wanted in the seem rich but have lots of personal unique touches. And on her wedding day when the doors opened to the ballroom and then to the garden, I saw it in her eyes, the tears of the "awe moment." I had nailed it.
What really amazed me (and overwhelmed me) was the number of complements from family, friends, the staff of the facility and other vendors. The wedding was a hugh success! We couldn't get people to leave at the end of the night.
So after taking some time to rest. I decided it was time to put some of my talents to use. These invitations are just a sampling of my abilities. I can do just about anything custom. If you have a dream of something special, send me a picture or just send me a message lets see what we can come up with. I am pretty open. I can make just about anything paperwise for the wedding.
Together we can create and customize the look you always dreamt of for your special day.
