I have always loved art. I am constantly taking in shapes, colors, designs and patterns. I can be inspired by something as simple as a shoreline, or as complex as a map. I was born and raised in a small artist community in northern Michigan and moved to Bozeman, MT in 1998. I attended Montana State University and graduated with a degree in Art Education. The clean sturdy lines that I use in my jewelry are a reflection of my beautiful surroundings and also a reflection of my "virgo-ness," things have to be just so. I have been experimenting with different pigments and color combination's that can be used in my resins. As of late they have been a little unusual. My favorite colors have been coming from spices and dirt. Yes, I said spices and dirt.... People bring me dirt from all over the world to have set in resin and silver. The combinations are stunning! Montana red dirt actually looks like a dreamy chocolate. The Maui black sand is a gorgeous matte black. The spices give a translucent glow. I have not found a light green that I like more than good ole Wasabii! When I am not playing in the studio, I am a mom to 3 amazing children, I am married to the funniest person that I know, and I have 2 dogs that are so ugly that they border on cute! I like to organize, go on long walks at sunset, bargain shop for antiques, and drink good coffee.
