From Heartbreak to "Please Don't Leave Me Here" to a Fierce Pursuit of Freedom
From Loss to Launch — Why This Brand Exists
Custom High LLC isn’t just a business.
It’s the story of rebuilding from the ground up — with nothing but grief, grit, and a dream that refused to die.
In July 2024, I lost my mom suddenly in a car accident. Her last words to me were, “Please don’t leave me here.” I haven’t. I carry her with me in everything I do.
Just weeks later, I moved to rural Mississippi to care for my mother-in-law, who was diagnosed with stage 4 bile duct cancer. We lost her too — almost exactly a year after my mom.
Isolated. Broke. Cut off from friends and family.
No job opportunities. No access to money.
Just me… and a vision that had been sitting on the back burner far too long.
For over 20 years, I’ve been printing in one way or another — always dreaming of doing it my way.
I imagined a mobile print and embroidery studio — a fully equipped, solar-powered trailer that doubled as both a creative space and a tiny home. A place that runs on sustainability, creativity, and caffeine.
I imagined bringing that studio directly to communities — parks, beaches, festivals, even neighborhoods — where people could get something custom, meaningful, and real.
And now? I’m building it.
Every shirt, hoodie, or hat sold here fuels that mission — from the trailer build and eco-friendly gear to the solar panels and recycled water system that will make this mobile studio 100% off-grid.
But this brand isn’t just about clothes — it’s about impact.
Once I hit the road, I plan to host free community print days where local kids can learn about design and create their own merch. I’m also working on ways to use this platform to help clothe people experiencing homelessness — because everyone deserves dignity, comfort, and something to call their own.
This isn’t just a comeback story — it’s a movement.
A mission to turn pain into purpose.
To make meaningful merch with a message.
To remind people that even when life knocks you flat… you can still rise, create, and build something beautiful.
Thank you for being part of this story — and for helping write the next chapter.
Stay custom high.
