My Story
¡Hola! Mi nombre es Leah McKnight y soy artista e ilustradora de mármol en Austin, TX.
En el marmoleado, los colores se aplican a la superficie del agua. Luego, los colores se pueden manipular con herramientas para crear patrones fascinantes. Marbling es un baile, una meditación y un experimento divertido, todo en uno.
Cuando mi mente está acelerada (y a menudo lo está), descubro que el marmoleado ralentiza mis pensamientos y me lleva al momento presente. Es realmente mágico. Me encanta difundir esta magia compartiendo mi proceso, ofreciendo mi arte a la venta y dirigiendo talleres de marmoleado en persona.
Cuando no estoy jugando con la pintura, me pueden encontrar bailando en mi sala de estar, acariciando la barriga de mi gato o acampando junto a un río.
Hi there! My name is Leah McKnight and I’m a marbling artist & illustrator in Austin, TX.
In marbling, colors are applied to the surface of water. The colors can then be manipulated with tools to create mesmerizing patterns. Marbling is a dance, a meditation and a fun experiment all in one.
When my mind is racing (and it often is), I find that marbling slows down my thoughts and brings me into the present moment. It’s truly magical. I love to spread this magic by sharing my process, offering my art for purchase and leading in-person marbling workshops.
When I’m not playing with paint, I can be found dancing in my living room, petting my cat’s tummy, or camping by a river.
