"Head in the Bag" is a very personal project on what is close to my heart in life, my Romanian origins, the perfection towards which I always strive to strive. For me, creating is not just about making something, it's expressing who you really are, it's a part of freedom to cling to in difficult times.

My name is Ecaterina Teodorescu and I have been living in France for a few years now. I created my first bag when I wanted to give a gift, but I lacked wrapping paper. All I remember is that the bag was appreciated more than its contents. And that was the trigger. I spend my time embroidering, sewing, hunting flea markets and upholsterers' workshops in search of unique fabrics and lace. All the fabrics I use for my bags and accessories have a story to tell. They come from an old dress, scarf, curtain, tablecloth or sheet that is sometimes more than 50 years old.

I favor upholstery fabrics that I customize entirely by hand with beautiful embroideries inspired by traditional Patterns of Eastern Europe. I make my creations in limited series (1-2 pieces) because I like renewal and I want above all to offer my customers products that they will not find anywhere else.

My creations are aimed at women who respect handmade work and craftsmanship. To the urban and active woman concerned about her well-being.

« La tête dans le sac » est un projet très personnel sur ce qui me tient à cœur dans la vie, mes origines roumaines, la perfection vers laquelle je m'efforce toujours de tendre. Pour moi, créer ne se résume pas à fabriquer quelque chose, c’est exprimer ce que l’on est vraiment, c’est une part de liberté à laquelle se raccrocher dans les moments difficiles.

Je m'appelle Ecaterina Teodorescu et j'habite en France depuis déjà quelques années. J’ai créé mon premier sac lorsque j’ai voulu offrir un cadeau, mais je manquais de papier d’emballage. Tout ce que je me souviens c’est que le sac a été plus apprécié que son contenu. Et ça a été le déclic. Je passe mon temps à broder, coudre, chiner les brocantes et les ateliers des tapissiers à la recherche de tissus et dentelles uniques.

Je réalise mes créations en séries limitées (1-2 pièces), car j'aime le renouvellement et je souhaite avant tout proposer à mes clientes des produits qu’elles ne trouveront nulle part ailleurs.

Mes créations s’adressent à la femme respectueuse du travail fait main et de l'artisanat. A la femme citadine et active soucieuse de son bien-être.
