Bienvenido a Empressionistar.

Hola.. mi nombre rebeca, emperatriz, surgió haciendo hincapié en la impresión de impresiones en mi otra tienda empressionista. Cuando fui a apuntarme a twitter la emperatriz ya estaba tomada, ¡así que utilicé @empressionistar! y está atascado. Para mantener ambas tiendas conectadas por su nombre, ¡he mantenido el nombre empressionista y he agregado una R al final!

Soy un poco fashionista y me encantan los disfraces. He trabajado con Holiday On Ice, una gira internacional de patinaje sobre hielo que viajó por todo el mundo. Fui Secretario del Espectáculo durante varios años. Allí me inspiré en todos los deslumbrantes trajes de espectáculo, pedrería, aspectos ligeros y pirotécnicos del espectáculo, el maravilloso elenco internacional de amigos y los diseñadores de vestuario y vestuario muy inteligentes. Viajamos por todo el mundo y ahí es donde obtuve mis influencias para los diseños y textiles culturales nativos, ingenuos y tradicionales.

Después de haber trabajado en América Latina, Sudáfrica, el Lejano Oriente y Europa, he podido satisfacer mi pasión por los gitanos, boho, ingenuos, nativos y tribales.

Mis creaciones están hechas de cuero genuino, impreso o pintado a mano, cosido, bordado o cosido a máquina, todos llevan un carácter individual y ninguno implica un proceso de fabricación o producción en masa.

En la universidad estudié idiomas, arte, diseño de interiores y dirección de arte, hago lo que se adapta a mi estilo y no sigo las tendencias.

Me encanta el cuero. Recuerdo que cuando tenía unos 15 o 16 años nos fuimos de vacaciones familiares al sur de Francia y un día cruzamos la frontera hacia Italia. Mamá dijo que vamos a los mercados de Ventimigla, es genial para los zapatos. OMG Compré 3 pares de zapatos de cuero hechos a mano. Nunca lo olvidaré: un par era blanco con un heal apilado, cordones de cuero blanco y una lengua de brogues, el siguiente eran sandalias moradas y rosas con una hebilla en ante y cuero, el tercero era un par de cordones de brogue gris. Creo que de ahí vino mi amor por el cuero.

Cuando se trata de diseñar, me encanta el cuero por sus cualidades suaves, adaptabilidad, estilo y pura elegancia. Mi otro amor es la seda. Si pudiera, me encantaría abrir una tienda especializada en seda, también me encantaría. Tal vez pronto...

Hago lo que me hace feliz.

Me inspira todos los días mi entorno en las exuberantes y tropicales playas del norte de Sydney y el estilo de vida para estar en forma y mantenerme saludable.

Últimamente he estado diseñando puños de cuero Fitbit con bolsillos ocultos para albergar su Fitness Activity Tracker, por lo que los usuarios ahora tienen una alternativa a usar las correas de goma o silicio alrededor de sus muñecas, que no siempre van con el resto de su atuendo para la oficina, casual, cóctel o una noche de fiesta.

Hi.. my name's Rebekah, empressionistar came about by emphasising the pressing of prints in my other shop empressionista. When I went to sign up to twitter empressionista was already taken, so I used @empressionistar! and its stuck. To keep both shops connected by name, I've kept the name empressionista and added an R at the end!

I'm a bit of a fashionista and love costumes. I have worked with Holiday On Ice, an International Ice Skating Tour that travelled worldwide. I was Show Secretary for several years. There I got inspired by all the dazzling show costumes, rhinestones, light and pyrotechnic aspects of the show, the wonderful international cast of friends and the very clever wardrobe and costume designers. We travelled worldwide and that's where I got my influences for native, naive and traditional cultural designs and textiles.

Having worked in latin America, South Africa, The Far East and Europe, I've been able to indulge my passion for gypsy, boho, naive, native, and tribal.

My creations are made from genuine leather, printed or hand painted, stitched, embroidered or machine sewn, all carry an individual character and none involve a manufacturing process or mass production.

At college I studied languages, art, interior design and art direction, I make what suits my style and I don't follow trends.

I love leather. I remember when I was about 15 or 16 we went on a family holiday to the South of France and one day crossed the border into Italy. Mum said we're going to Ventimigla markets, its great for shoes. OMG I bought 3 pairs of handmade leather shoes. I'll never forget : one pair was white with a stacked heal, white leather laces and a brogues tongue, the next was purple and pink sandals with a buckle in suede and leather, the third was a pair of grey brogue lace ups. I think that's where my love of leather came from.

When it comes to designing, I love leather for its soft qualities, adaptability, style and sheer elegance. My other love is silk. If I could I'd love to open a shop that specialised in silk, I'd love that too. Maybe soon...

I make what makes me happy.

I am inspired everyday by my surroundings on the lush and tropical Northern Beaches of Sydney and by the lifestyle for fitness and keeping healthy.

Of late I've been designing Fitbit Leather Cuffs with hidden pockets to house your Fitness Activity Tracker, so wearers now have an alternative to wearing the rubber or silicon straps around their wrists, that don't always go with the rest of their outfit for office, casual, cocktail or a night out.
