In this copper foil project, each piece of glass are wrapped with a thin adhesive backed strip of copper which serves as a base for the solder. Once wrapped, the glass pieces are soldered together, small brass hinges are soldered to the lid and base of the jewelry box and a safety chain is added inside the box. Patina (a chemical) changes the silver color of soldered seams and black patina was applied to the soldered seams of this jewelry box.
