The 4" wide pendant hangs from a raw brass chain, then cotton cord with two sliding knots for adjustable length. The cord prevents the brass from staining the back of your neck, and the adjustable length makes it work with multiple necklines. (I can put it on a gold-filled chain instead, if you prefer.) I carved the owl out of a block of wax, then made a silicon mold so I can cast this in any metal. For this version of the necklace, I solder a hammered piece of brass wire with two raw stone beads onto the back.

CUSTOMIZATION: I have blue kyanite, clear quartz, raw citrine, and amethyst, which would also work. Other crystal requests welcome. Sterling silver is also available.

CARE: Brass is quite easy to care for. You can allow it to patina, or you can polish it back to a shiny warm color whenever you like. Jewelry that needs polishing comes with a polishing swatch and care info on a card. Most items that can tarnish also come with an airtight baggie and anti-tarnish swatch for storage. You can find additional care info in each item's details.

Silver jewelry can be polished with any commercial polishing cloth. I don't recommend liquid cleaners as this will remove the detail oxidation.
