Vintage ALVA Museum Replicas Pre-Columbian Combination Disk Ornament and Bangle Screw Back Earrings.

The earrings are marked "Alva" and come with the original Alva Gift Box and Paperwork. The earrings measure 2 1/2" length by 7/8" width.

These earrings have been well-maintained and cared for over the years. They are in excellent vintage condition.

Pre Columbian Combination Disk Medallion Ornament and Bangle. The original elements of this disk and bangle are of gold, from Columbia, about 1000 AD.

The original Indian inhabitants of Central and South America were masters in the fashioning of precious metals by various methods. The disk was made from a thin sheet of gold, which was decorated in the repousse technique with small round bosses arranged in three irregular concentric circles. The bangle attached to this disk was apparently created by first making a wire of gold, and then flattening both ends by hammering.
