Men's box cut swim trunk vintage style can be fully lined. This trunk has straight cut leg opening with a 8.5 out seam (smaller/larger sizes will be slightly different length). This swim trunk has elastic and a drawstring at the waist.

This sewing pattern is in PDF format and available for instant download. This pattern is adjusted to print on home printers using 8.5" X11" paper. ALL PATTERN PIECES MUST BE PRINTED IN "ACTUAL SIZE".

This pattern is designed for 4-Way stretch in Elastane, Nylon, Polyester or blended fabrications.
This garment is designed to be sewn with the use of a double needle serger and straight stitch machine with a zig-zag stitch.

Requires .75 inch elastic and polyester cording for drawstring.

I love how didactic, practical, and professional these drawings are. I wish more info was available with the instructions when you downloaded them; I had to hunt a little to figure out the kind of fabric I needed to buy, the amount I needed, etc. I have not finished the project yet, but I am happy about where it is headed. Great stuff! Edit: I made a pair of shorts using the pattern! I departed from the instructions/ made some decorative touches with some HTV and a star pattern I designed. I also used 2-way stretch instead of the 4-way stretch polyester recommended by the instructions; not ideal but they still work great! I really like these (using them for a costume in a project I am working on). I stand by my initial critiques, but the pattern and instructions themselves rock. I will be making these again!!! :)
