Great Blue Heron

This design is a total reworking of my original Great Blue Heron art tile, it's a fresh new look from a totally reworked version of my original design. This version will compliment a much wider variety of decor than my previous design.
I think the Great Blue Heron is arguably the coolest of the wading birds, not as elegant as the Egret, but still really cool.
This is a very detailed sculpted tile of a great blue heron made of ceramic using a variety of glazes. Each tile is made totally by hand, created from a mold made from my original sculpture. Every tile is made one at a time using wet clay, trimmed, dried, fired, glazed and fired a second time. Each tile has a cavity cut into the back so it will easily hang on a nail in the wall. It makes a great gift and looks fantastic hanging in small spaces that other art won't fit in. It also works well installed with other tile or simply resting on an easel. Because each tile is individually made by hand the colors may vary slightly. We make every effort to insure the very best quality.

We are always making our tile designs and the inventory of (1) will usually reflect that we are working on that design. We will do all we can to get each tile shipped asap.

Although images are a close representation of the actual artwork, there will be minor differences. All my tiles are handmade in very small batches. The very nature of handcrafted ceramics guarantees that you are purchasing a unique work of art.
