I started creating art at a very young age. My summers were spent with both sets of my grandparents in northern Ontario and the eastern townships of Quebec where I was surrounded by nature and encouraged to create what ever my imagination could invent. My grandmothers had a huge influence on me, encouraging me to create anything, using a multitude of media.

Today my work continues to use more than one medium. Using photography, collage, and resin, my images combine fine art mediums with craft, design and handwork. The resin make the colours more vibrant and alive.

Lately I’ve taken to photographing old, used toys from the 1950s and 60s. I started with robots, then progressed to cars and trucks and now I’m moving to softer toys, like barbie clothes and animals. As the out buildings of my family cottage are being emptied, new and interesting objects are being unearthed. Photographing these objects has become of way for me keep them close and document the past without having to physically house them forever. Inevitably it is allowing me to grieve and is helping me let go of the physical objects that my grandmother cherished.
