1. Preheat your iron to 170 ºC / 340 ºF (cotton setting for about 5 minutes or until hot) and position your patch where you want it on the material.

2. Place a pressing parchment square or a Scrap Fabric over the patch. Place your iron onto the cloth on top of the patch and apply firm pressure for about 30 seconds. Allow to cool for 5 minutes.

3. Turn your garment inside-out and iron the area behind the patch while applying firm pressure for 30 seconds. This ensures that the patch is firmly attached. Allow the area to cool for another 5 minutes and the iron on process is complete.

Before you begin to iron anything onto your garment, please check what the material it is made of. Patches can be ironed onto cotton, cotton blends, velour, denim and wool.

Do Not apply iron on patches to waterproof rainwear, rayon, nylon, velvet, acrylic, minky, leather, vinyl, or any other fabrics with finishes, elastics, or heat sensitivity. If you’re unsure, test with an iron on a hidden seam or hem to see if the fabric accepts the heat without damage.

Iron-on patches (also known as thermoadhesives), possess a special kind of backing that allows a bond to form between the patch and your fabric when heated, we use HEAT-SEAL. This product can be adhered to garments with a simple household iron covering the entire length of the patch.

HEAT-SEAL backing that accompanies these patches adds some stiffness, allowing them to lay flat. They are ideal for decorating casual clothing and can be easy to apply. People can use these patches for a multitude of reasons, whether for fashion or costume design, merchandise production, simple apparel or garments that need to be decorated in a short amount of time.

It is estimated that the adhesive bonding can last for approximately 20 to 30 washes.
