Handmade Ferns cyanotype card
The plants used are harvested during my walks and pressed by me for 4 to 5 weeks.
The watercolor paper used is made in France.
** The cyanotype is an old negative monochrome photographic process, through which a Prussian blue, cyan blue photographic print is obtained.
This technique was developed in 1842 by botanist Anna Atkins.
This process involves applying a photosensitive solution to paper and exposing it to UV rays.
After rinsing and drying, the imprint of the plant or plants will be revealed**
Each creation is unique.
Advice :
A slight change in the cyanotype is possible in the event of exposure to the sun. It is therefore recommended to hang it in a non-humid place and away from direct sunlight for a better lifespan.
