I joined Etsy in 2008 and have been expanding my sweater and shawl lines ever since.
I live at the end of a long driveway off a dirt road in Vermont. Selling online is a great way for me to do business. I can work at home and not have to schlep my inventory to fairs or markets too often.
Though I love to work in the wool that features my plant-dyed yarn, I also make shawls and sweaters with the soft acrylic yarn now available, for those who are sensitive to wool and cannot wear it. Please let me know if you want something you see in my shop in a different fiber or size and I will do my best to accommodate you.
My sawtooth sweaters for children and adults came from designing a sweater for my husband, a carpenter, who also runs a sawmill on our property. I really like this clean sharp design mimicking the teeth of a saw blade, and changing the colors of this basic design gives each sweater a different character.
My shawls feature a double button to keep it closed so it won't slip off your shoulders. This little gizmo can be popped in and out along the shawl edge, so you can arrange the shawl how you like it. Right now I'm partial to ruffle-edged shawls; I love their frilly look, even in a very warm shawl, and the way they accent the shoulders and face of the wearer.
I also just started a line of clothespin holders/bags, using my very large stash of sturdy fabrics!
I am always open to custom orders.
