Botene' vind ik heel bijzonder.

Botene' is een boetiek van liefde voor verschillende culturen, kleuren, print en stijl." tene' uitgesproken als "tanAY" betekent "liefde" in een Afrikaans dialect. Ik wilde altijd al mijn liefde voor stoffen, textuur, kleuren en prints combineren om een "Bo"utique te openen. En zo werd " botene" geboren.

Ik ben Botene' begonnen na mijn reis naar Griekenland. Ik was erg geïnspireerd door hun cultuur, heerlijk eten en prachtige landschappen. Ik was verrast door de manier waarop Santorini allemaal uniform blauw en wit was geschilderd, geïnspireerd door de prachtige oceaan eromheen. Toen ik thuiskwam, begon ik te merken dat mensen om me heen van over de hele wereld probeerden erbij te horen, nog steeds hun unieke cultuur in zich hadden en hoe dat hen inspireerde en scheidde van de rest. Vandaar dat Botene' tot leven kwam.

Alle stoffen zijn afkomstig van over de hele wereld, waaronder India, Japan en de VS. Ze zijn individueel door mij uitgekozen en elk van hen heeft zijn eigen unieke verhaal en inspiratie. Deze mouwen zijn handgemaakt in Botene's studio in het centrum van Chicago. We gebruiken hoogwaardig schuim en voeringmateriaal om extra veiligheid te bieden aan de laptops / e-readers.

Deze mouwen zijn zorgvuldig handgemaakt om een persoonlijke stijl uit te stralen en tegelijkertijd zorgvuldig functioneel te zijn

Botene’ is very special to me.

Botene' is a boutique of love for different cultures, colors, print and style." tene' " pronounced "tanAY" means "love" in an african dialect. I always wanted to combine my love for fabrics, texture, colors and prints to open a “Bo”utique. And thus was born " botene' ".

I started Botene’ after my travel to Greece. I was very inspired by their culture, great food and beautiful scenery. I was surprised by the way Santorini was all painted uniform blue and white, inspired by the beautiful ocean around it. When I got back home, I begin to notice people around me from all over the world trying to fit in, still holding their unique culture within and how that inspired and separated them from the rest. Hence, Botene’ came to life.

All the fabrics are sourced around the world including India, Japan and US. They are individually handpicked by me and each of them has their own unique story and inspiration. These sleeves are handmade in Botene’s studio in downtown Chicago. We use high quality foam and lining material to provide extra security to the laptops/e-readers.
