Hallo! Ik ben Kathy, de bedenker van Knots of Connection en Stitches With Stories. Ik ben met Stitches With Stories begonnen omdat ik er altijd van overtuigd ben geweest dat handgemaakte producten meer zijn dan alleen garen en vezels – ze dragen betekenis. Elk project begint met een doel: iets bijzonders voor je huis, een knusse sjaal om je in te wikkelen, een tas die deel gaat uitmaken van je dagelijks leven, of een cadeau dat je speciaal voor iemand van wie je houdt hebt gemaakt.
Na verloop van tijd besefte ik dat handgemaakte objecten niet alleen verhalen vertellen, maar ons ook verbinden. Ze verbinden ons met de mensen voor wie we creëren, met de huizen die we vormgeven en met het comfort waarmee we ons omringen. Ze verbinden ons ook met onze gemeenschap, en daarom steun ik met een deel van mijn werk goede doelen die anderen het gevoel geven dat ze geliefd en gesteund worden.
Dat diepere inzicht inspireerde de naam Knots of Connection.
Stitches With Stories vertegenwoordigt dus de maker achter de schermen,
Knots of Connection is de plek waar al die betekenisvolle creaties samenkomen.
Elk stuk is met warmte, aandacht en de hoop vervaardigd dat het deel gaat uitmaken van jouw verhaal, van jouw thuis en van jouw connecties, dichtbij en ver weg.

I started with Stitches With Stories because I’ve always believed handmade pieces carry more than yarn and fiber — they carry meaning. Every make begins with a purpose: something special for your home, a cozy shawl to wrap around yourself, a bag that becomes part of your everyday life, or a gift created with someone you love in mind.
Over time, I realized that handmade pieces don’t just tell stories — they connect us. They connect us to the people we create for, to the homes we shape, and to the comfort we surround ourselves with. They also connect us to our community, which is why part of my work supports charity projects and causes that help others feel cared for and supported.
That deeper understanding inspired the name Knots of Connection.
So while Stitches With Stories represents the maker behind the scenes,
Knots of Connection is the place where all those meaningful creations come together.
