BEST DAY EVER:
"WRITE IT ON YOUR HEART THAT EVERY DAY IS THE BEST DAY OF THE YEAR" - Ralph Waldo Emerson

Now is the time of year to celebrate your best days: Gatherings of Family & Friends, and well, ALL the FUN!

What are YOU celebrating today? If you follow the advice of Ralph Waldo Emerson, every day is one to appreciate, to celebrate. ENJOY!!!

I am CELEBRATING OVER 600 SALES in my ETSY SHOP, PRETTY PLATE STUDIO. Honestly, I never thought I would get here and I THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart for being a part of my journey. My former banner shows me with my sisters and cousin, who have always had my back AND are outstanding travel companions. In this photo, taken on Vancouver Island, we are in matching jackets that we all loved - except for one sister who obviously has impeccable taste and likely, better sense.

For those of you who might be planning a formal or casual gathering of friends and family, I encourage you to browse our shop for ENTERTAINING ideas. Tiered Servers are a great: They can double as a Centerpiece AND they are useful on the buffet table - your guests can serve themselves. Win win!! If you are stressed trying to figure out a unique yet thoughtful gift for that certain someone, consider a Tea-Cup Stand or Mad-Hatter. Or, consider a collectible or decorative Plate (or Plates) as a memorable Housewarming or Hostess Gift. Folks always appreciate a thoughtful gesture!

Hello! Welcome to Pretty Plate Studio. I'm Martha Louise, Upcycling Queen!! - That is, I love to collect and transform mismatched (& sometimes matching) china into useful and beloved keepsakes. I also love to collect all "interesting" curios, be they vintage, antique, or mid-century modern items - I love that they can transport you to a different time and place. I also love being able to bring memorabilia from the past into the present AND future by transforming them into useful and beautiful keepsakes. Or, simply enjoying them as they are. I hope you will find something here that speaks to your heart. Thanks for stopping by! 😊

I ENCOURAGE YOU TO FOLLOW MY SHOP, AND I WILL BE MOST APPRECIATIVE IF YOU DO.

A FEW NOTES ABOUT MY SHOP -

Prompt shipping is important to me, and I imagine to you too. I OFFER FREE SHIPPING for purchases over $35.00 in my shop - please keep this in mind and know that you can combine items to reach this threshold if your item(s) cost less than that, so long as the items can be shipped safely in the same box. Likewise, if you simply want to purchase multiple items, I can consolidate the packaging if it can be safely done. I often use the U.S. Postal Service, but will typically try find the most economical AND efficient way to get your item to you within your time-frame (regardless of who is paying for postage).

CONDITION OF ITEMS FOR SALE IN SHOP -
Most of the items in my shop have been well loved over time before they arrive in my shop. I welcome your inquiry into the condition of a particular item, especially BEFORE you make a purchase - since my standards and your standards of condition might differ - and this may also depend on your PURPOSE in purchasing the item. For example, if you are intending to display an item in a cabinet, it might not be as important to you if the item has some age-related crazing or other hard-to-see flaws. On the other hand, if you intend to give the item as a gift, or display it prominently in your home, it would be more important to examine the item for ANY detailed imperfections. I try to be conscientious when describing the condition of each item in my shop. That said, I AM human - and even though I closely examine each item, I may inadvertently miss certain flaws.

Also, because Etsy limits us to 20 photos, I am not always able to show all the detail of a particular item. If you would like more photos, better photos, or more close-ups of an item you are considering, I am quite happy to provide you with more pictures - in fact, I encourage it. I want you to be HAPPY with your purchase.

ARE YOU HAPPY WITH YOUR PURCHASE?
If you are happy with your purchase and the service you receive, please consider writing a brief review. As a vintage shop owner and as an online shopper myself, I recognize the importance of a 5 star rating to potential customers. Such feedback means everything to me - AND I want YOU to be fully satisfied. Please let me know how I can make that happen.

If you are not immediately satisfied with your purchase, please contact me directly before leaving feedback as providing you with great service and total satisfaction is my highest priority.

A picture of your purchase in its new home would be MOST welcome, not only for myself, but also for all potential new clients and customers. MANY THANKS for stopping by. I AM grateful!!
