Sendlines started in New York, on Mount Algonquin. One of my first real summits, and the thing that stuck wasn’t the view from the top. It was the line we took to get there. A route is basically a story you can trace.
I come from a film background, so I’ve spent years thinking about composition and what makes an image hold your eye. A contour map and a climbing route are just lines worth framing if you handle them right. So I started turning them into prints.
The 14er prints are built from real USGS contour data. The climbing prints start from actual route and terrain data. Each one’s made to order through a production partner who handles the printing, so quality stays high and waste stays low.
Lately I’ve been training to climb Kilimanjaro, raising money for Parkinson’s research along the way. Same reason I make these, honestly. The places we push through end up meaning something.
If there’s a peak or route you want and don’t see it, message me. I’m always adding new ones.
