This is a digital impression of my work "Yohualli Ehecatl"

This composition represents the unification of these two fundamental forces, on the one hand "Ehecatl" personification of the wind and the breath of life, appears with a mask with a red beak, from which the breath of life emanates, in his hand he holds an ascending serpent that represents the very vitality of existence.
In opposition to Ehecatl is "Mictlantecuhtli" the Lord of the Dead, who embodies the inevitable facet of existence "death" holding a burning heart in its last beat and the transit towards the unknown, from his mouth sprout flowers that symbolize the transience and ephemeral of material life.
The fusion of these two forces is manifested in this hybrid figure. A being that embodies the coexistence of life and death. Mictlantecuhtli and Ehecatl intertwine in a unit, transcending the conventional divisions of duality. This image alludes to an interconnection between what we consider to be opposite, reminding us that life and death are inseparable parts and beyond a duality there are two poles that intertwine and reconcile with each other to generate the present.
This figure prostrates on green carpets (xiuh petlatl), representing the earth and nature, which in turn covers a large inverted skull that symbolizes transformation and regeneration.
"Yohualli - Ehecatl" invites us to contemplate this polarity as a divine dance that in its perpetual movement weaves the same existence and urges us to recognize that life and death coexist in an intrinsic harmony, and that the result of their dance is the "Here and now" (nican axcan).
