Plutôt que d'attendre que la source idéale se présente, j'ai décidé de me lancer et de la créer moi-même.

A garment can be beautifully constructed but it is often the smallest details like the weight, the texture and the style of fasteners, that truly bring it to life and give it character. That belief is what sparked the creation of Embellish and Thread.
My journey into the world of haberdashery/ Notions started with a deep appreciation for tactile beauty and traditional craftsmanship. I found myself constantly searching for those perfect, unique finishing details that go beyond the mass produced options and offer something with a bit more soul. I realised that if I was spending so much time hunting for these pieces then other crafters and makers must be doing the exact same thing. Rather than waiting for the perfect source to appear, I decided to power ahead and build it myself.
While Embellish and Thread is a full haberdashery at heart, I am intentionally starting our story with a specialised focus on buttons. They are the ultimate blend of form and function. Whether you are looking for a delicate pearl closure to soften a cottage style knit, a heavy brass fastener to anchor a winter coat or something bright and fun for a child's cardigan, the right button changes everything.
