You need to work:
• Steel crochet hook size 1.25 mm (#8 US) for Etamin (or a size that fits your yarn).
• YarnArt Etamin: 100% Acrylic, 180 m in 30 g (196 yds in 1.06 oz):
– color No. 1 - black (422),
- color No. 2 - turquoise (425) – it is desirable to replace with floss threads,
- color No. 3 - white (421),
- color No. 4 - light BEIGE (448),
- color No. 5 - dark BEIGE (447),
- color No. 6 – I have dark beige (447), dry lilac is better (441),
- color No. 7 - brown (440).
It is very difficult to choose natural colors for this bird. I conducted an experiment and crocheted a second jay with floss threads from Bestex. I selected colors from the palette from page 5. To equalize the width, I took 9 threads (the floss consists of 6 threads). On replacement were:
- color No. 2 - turquoise (3845) – 1 pc.,
- color No. 5 - dark beige (3861) – 4 pcs.,
- color No. 6 - terracotta (3722) – 9 pcs.,
- color No. 4 – yarn YarnArt Etamin gray (449).
• Fiberfill for stuffing.
• A wooden skewer or a toothpick with a broken tips for stuffing.
• Tapestry needle.
• Scissors.
• Steel wire thick 1 mm (0.039 inch) – 0.8 m (0,87 yds).
• Wire cutters.
• Needle file.
• Medical cloth tape.
• Black half beads 6 mm – 2 pcs.
• Moment Crystal glue.
• PVA Glue.
• Dry pastel and brush for tinting.
