Corydoras On Parade

Through my explorations in drawing and rendering different fish, I became very interested in the differences in anatomy from species to species. Corydoras Catfish always had a form that I struggled to render, so I pushed myself to understanding their form. This single plate solar plate etching was simply a learning exercise for myself with the added bonus of creating and image that highlights the interesting form of these cute little guys. The particular Corydoras that I rendered was the Panda Cory.

This is an edition of 8. All prints were inked with black ink, then were given a relief roll containing either a yellowish tone, a blue tone, or a blend of the two.

Image size is 6" x 8" paper size is 9" x 11"

All prints were inked and printed by hand. darkness in color and tone may vary from print to print.
