This is an Intermediate Project. You’ll be working with thin cord which requires a little more finesse than thicker cord. You’ll need to know the Square Knot, the Add-On Technique and the Alternating Square Knot and you’ll learn how to make a Macramé Plant Hanger without the Fringe.

If you're a Beginner and want to get up and running in Macramé, the quickest way is to start with the Beginner Macramé Pattern Starter Kit https://etsy.me/2tXH5M0 and then do the Stella Hanger to learn the Add-On Technique https://etsy.me/2lRtu4m and then you'll be ready for this pattern.

The materials needed for this project are as follows.
1) Short Olivia 79’ of 2 mm White Cotton Cord or 4 mm Jute.
Medium Olivia 83’ of 2 mm White Cotton Cord or 4 mm Jute.
Long Olivia 87’ of 2 mm White Cotton Cord or 4 mm Jute.
2) 1 - 2” Brass ring
3) Scissors
4) Measuring Tape
5) Optional: S-Hook but you can use your ring for this step if you don’t have an S-Hook.

The three lengths of OLIVIA with pots from short to long respectively will be approximately 28”, 32” and 36”. Lengths will vary slightly.

This design is great for terrariums but you can also use them for traditional pots and plants. Please use the following sizes as maximum guidelines. In other words, you can go slightly smaller in width but it’s not recommended to go any larger. The small Glass Bowl/Terrarium Container as picture is 9” at the widest, 5” at top & bottom and 7” tall. The medium is 11” across at the widest, 7” at top & bottom and 9” tall. The large is 13” across at the widest, 7” at the top & bottom and 11” tall. The small brass pot is 8” wide by 6” tall. The medium is 9” wide by 7” tall. The large is 10” wide by 8 1/2” tall.
