Welcome to Day With Rae, where crochet is as much about the finished piece as it is about the time spent and learnings you make along the way!

Hi there! I'm Rae! I’ve been crocheting for over 20 years, and I’ve made just about everything along the way: amigurumi, pillows, blankets, clothing, wall hangings, and home décor. Three years ago I started writing my own crochet patterns, and I’ve been designing ever since.

Today, I design patterns for staple pieces such as blankets, layers, and wardrobe pieces made to be worn and used for years, with special attention to texture and materials. Each pattern is written with care by a real human and reviewed by a real human tech editor, so you can focus on the part that matters, which is the satisfying work of making something with your own hands.

I believe crochet is worth doing even if you’re not “good” at it. Uneven stitches and imperfect tension are part of what makes handmade feel handmade. Come as you are, pick up your hook, and enjoy the process.
