Favolediluce

Since I was a child I let myself be fascinated by the world of beads: at the beginning they were the large plastic ones, with letters and numbers, in the shape of a bow or candy with which I made necklaces and bracelets of dubious taste but which for me were wonderful at the time and I showed them off with great pride. Then in the years of adolescence I discovered the conteria beads and the style and techniques have been refined a little: bracelets made with the loom technique, bracelets with safety pins and beads and strangles that were so fashionable. In the years to come I had left everything closed in a box, like a childhood pastime, convinced that what I created was now outdated. Until one day by pure chance the revelation arrives! A friend shows me the works that her mother made with new beads: the Delica Miyuki! It was love at first sight and that's where I started to create again. At the beginning it was a real challenge: finding the materials in the area was very difficult so you had to rely on online sites and the creatives who generously made their tutorials available on youtube were still few. Despite everything, I have continued to experiment, to do, to undo, to be inspired by everyday life, by everything that surrounds me. In every creation I try to leave my mark, to customize it and make it unique. I always hope to be able to convey all this also to those who choose my creations because in the end in each of them there is always a part of those who created them.

Fin da bambina mi sono lasciata affascinare dal mondo delle perline: all’inizio erano quelle grandi di plastica, con le lettere e i numeri, a forma di fiocco o di caramella con cui realizzavo collane e bracciali di dubbio gusto ma che per me allora erano meravigliosi e li sfoggiavo con gran vanto. Poi negli anni dell’adolescienza ho scoperto le perline di conteria e lo stile e le tecniche si sono un pochino affinate: bracciali fatti con la tecnica del telaio, bracciali con le spille da balia e le perline e gli strangolini che tanto andavano di moda. Negli anni a venire avevo lasciato tutto chiuso in una scatola, come un passatempo dell’infanzia, convinta che quello che creavo fosse ormai superato. Finchè un giorno per puro caso arriva la rivelazione! Un’amica mi mostra i lavori che realizzava la madre con delle nuove perline: le Delica Miyuki! E’ stato amore a prima vista ed è da lì che ho ricominciato a creare. All’inzio è stata una vera sfida: reperire i materiali in zona era molto difficile quindi bisognava affidarsi ai siti online e le creative che generosamente mettevano a disposizione i loro tutorial su youtube erano ancora poche. Nonostante tutto ho continuato con costanza a sperimentare, a fare, disfare, a lasciarmi ispirare dal quotidiano, da tutto ciò che mi circonda. In ogni creazione cerco di lasciare la mia impronta, di personalizzarla e renderla unica. Spero sempre di riuscire a trasmettere tutto questo anche a chi sceglie le mie creazioni perchè in fondo in ognuna di esse c’è sempre una parte di chi le ha create.
