The slider is very cool and comes in a beautiful leather pouch. I really like the look and solid weight of the slider. It has 2 fatal flaws, though. I thought it would have the standard 4 by 2 magnet setup, however, this has a strange set up that doesnt allow for many of your usual tricks. The magnets are also not really strong at all so they tend to slip apart pretty easily when trying to do anything. The only real play is going up once or down once. You can "kind of" ladder but the magnets arent really strong enough to do it fully without falling apart. Still really great in the hand. It just more for a worry stone for me, not really a slider.

FormAndHide is a small studio focused on tactile leather objects shaped by material, form, and internal structure.
Each piece is designed for adult hands and quiet, repetitive interaction - during work, thinking, or moments of the pauses.
Many objects include permanently secured internal magnets that create controlled resistance and guided movements. The magnetic blocks are fully enclosed within multiple layers and stitched through the entire construction.
They are carefully constructed leather objects made with attention to structure, weight, and feel.
Every piece is created slowly, with respect for the material and the hands that will hold it.

Wat kind of leather do you use?

I work exclusively with full-grain leather - the highest quality grade available. My collection includes both vegetable-tanned and oil-tanned leather, each chosen for its durability, natural beauty, and way it develops a unique patina over time.

Do you work with custom orders?

Absolutely. All my pieces are made from my own original patterns, but I love collaborating with my customers. If you have a specific size, color, design idea, or something completely unique in mind - just reach out. I`m always happy to make something made just for you.

Are your items truly handmade?

Yes, completely. Every piece is cut, stitched, and finished by my hands - no machines, no pre-made parts, no shortcuts. Each item is made from scratch, start to finish, in my workshop in Oklahoma, USA.

Can I return a personalized or custom item?

Unfortunately, personalized and custom-made items cannot be returned or exchanged, unless there is a defect or error on my part. If something is not right, please reach out within 7 days of delivery - I`ll always do my best to make it right.
