Handmade Copper Sinks was founded with a deep respect for heritage and a clear mission: to preserve the authentic, centuries-old traditions of Moroccan metal forging while reimagining these exquisite pieces for high-end, modern spaces around the globe. We wanted to move away from the disposable, mass-produced fixtures of the modern world and return to objects that carry a soul, a history, and a lifetime of durability.
The Heart of Our Workshop: Meet the "Maalems"
At the very center of our business is our dedicated manufacturing facility located right in Fez. We do not outsource our production; instead, we work directly with an incredible team of traditional master craftsmen, known locally as Maalems.
These artisans have spent their entire lives perfecting the intricate techniques passed down to them through generations. When you look closely at one of our pieces, you are seeing the literal mark of the craftsman—every hammer strike is deliberate, and every engraved detail is drawn entirely by hand.
Our Design Philosophy & The "Living Finish"

Authentic Materials: We use high-quality, solid copper and brass, strictly utilizing heavy-gauge sheets (such as our standard 1.2mm / 12 GARA thickness) to ensure generational durability.
The Living Finish: We specialize in unlacquered finishes. Free from artificial chemical sealants, our raw brass and copper interact naturally with their environment. Over time, they oxidize to develop a rich, organic, and deeply personal patina that reflects the story of your home.
Bespoke Craftsmanship: Because we own our production process from start to finish, we regularly collaborate with interior designers and homeowners on custom requests—whether it is scaling a bespoke layout or crafting a signature 36-inch luxury hand-hammered sink.
