Mudbud was born from mud, patience, and a deep love of making things by hand.

I’m Jaishni, and I make functional stoneware from my studio in San Francisco — mugs to wrap your hands around on slow mornings, bud vases for a single stem from the garden, bowls that feel just right at the dinner table. Pieces that become part of your everyday rhythm.

My signature cleather texture came from hours of experimenting at the wheel — a surface technique that gives each piece the warmth and tactility of worn leather. No two pieces are exactly alike, and that’s exactly the point. The little variations, the slight asymmetry, the fingerprints in the clay — that’s where the handmade magic lives.

I pour a lot of love into every piece that leaves my studio. When you bring a Mudbud piece into your home, I hope it brings you a little of that quiet joy too.
