Follow your passion
My story begins from a different road, my studies were focused on scientific disciplines, but after some years I realized that my passion was elsewhere, in fact I finished the Scientific Lyceum with the conviction of wanting to enter in this beautiful world of ' handicrafts, full of enthusiasm and desire to do.
At any price I wanted to learn the craft of the goldsmith, so I tried to take me as an intern at one of the goldsmiths that I knew, but without experience no one wanted to take responsibility to teach me, I met good people who could not keep me for lack of time and resources, and others, that I hardly define craftsmen, interested only in keeping narrow their knowledge.
Then finally the breakthrough, I took part in the selection of a course to learn the goldsmith's art and I won a seat, from here begins "Natural Geometry", starts here my story.
The course gave me a great opportunity to learn for 4 months in one of the best goldsmiths in my area, Spoleto Jewels, and I began to "steal it for myself." Every technique, every gesture that made the craftsmen was for me the most precious than the jewel that they went to create.
I started working at a banquet and they gave me the opportunity to study my products starting with my creativity projects, so that I could learn to filled throughout the process, I had so much from this experience. Four months flew and I found myself back at home, the next course of jewelery was far away so I began to set up a laboratory in one of the garage at home, I bought the bare essentials because I could start practicing at home.
The ideas did not lack to me and I was always committed in a project and the other one, at that time I became aware of a contest of jewelery in Padua, was necessary to prepare a jewel with the theme "diversity" and so I did, inspired by the theme I created a necklace which represented a rose made up of many different petals, all together they went to symbolize the fact that even though we are all different, together we create a society, each petal is unique but necessary and indispensable.
The idea was liked and I won the contest, this was a great encouragement to continue this road. The following year I took part again in the selection of a tender for internships in the craft industry, to attend I had to find a craftsman disposed to keep me in his lab for six months, so I began to run for the jewellery,
And then I starts to roam the jewellery, I knew it would not be easy to convince someone, but I felt motivated like never before, I talked with many craftsmen without ever get a "yes", as the last chance I had placed the visit to a craftsman, but it would be more appropriate to say artist, among the most important worldwide who was not far from my house, i already knew that i would get a "no" i was too inexperienced to hope to be taken as an intern in the laboratory of Giovanni Corvaja .
A few days after the visit I received a call from the master who informed me that he had decided to keep me, I was in seventh heaven !!!
I spent six months in Todi in the laboratory of Giovanni, this experience has changed my life, it gave me so much, from the human point of view and professional.
Thanks to this period has changed my way to approach the work, I had the opportunity to expand my vision and to understand that there is more to that than what you see in traditional jewelery.
Now my main activity is based on this, develop my own style using not well known but extremely fascinating techniques, creating unique jewelry meticulously studied by following always my greatest passion.
