La tienda está a cargo de O. Šerý, profesor universitario, investigador y coleccionista de larga trayectoria de objetos históricos y decorativos. Su trabajo académico ha forjado un enfoque meticuloso y metódico para la observación, la investigación y la documentación, cualidades igualmente valiosas a la hora de identificar, datar y describir antigüedades.
Mi interés por los objetos históricos se desarrolló gradualmente a lo largo de muchos años de coleccionismo, estudio y viajes por Europa, Asia, Australia y América. En el proceso, me sentí cada vez más fascinado por los objetos que conservan la artesanía, el lenguaje visual y la memoria cultural de otra época.
La colección incluye porcelana y cerámica antiguas, vidrio histórico y artístico, arte asiático y japonés, jade y piedra tallada, trabajos en metal, grabados, objetos Art Déco, marquetería y otras piezas singulares con carácter.
Cada objeto se selecciona individualmente de colecciones privadas, anticuarios, subastas y hallazgos personales. No se trata de una selección masiva, y la mayoría de las piezas son hallazgos únicos disponibles solo una vez.
Antes de que un artículo salga a la venta, se examina, fotografía e investiga minuciosamente. Siempre que es posible, se reconstruye su historia a través de colecciones de museos, catálogos históricos, literatura especializada y registros de subastas documentados. Los objetos particularmente inusuales o valiosos también pueden consultarse con coleccionistas y especialistas experimentados.
El estado, las dimensiones, los materiales, la fecha y la procedencia conocida se describen con la mayor transparencia y precisión posible. Las marcas del paso del tiempo no se consideran meras imperfecciones; a menudo forman parte de la historia auténtica del objeto y son testimonio de su recorrido.

ObjectsWithSoulStore is a carefully curated collection of antiques and decorative art chosen for their history, craftsmanship, beauty and distinctive presence.
The shop is curated by O. Šerý, a university professor, researcher and long-term collector of historical and decorative objects. Academic work has shaped a careful and methodical approach to observation, research and documentation — qualities that are equally valuable when identifying, dating and describing antiques.
My interest in historical objects developed gradually through many years of collecting, studying and travelling across Europe, Asia, Australia and the Americas. Along the way, I became increasingly fascinated by objects that preserve the craftsmanship, visual language and cultural memory of another time.
The collection includes antique porcelain and ceramics, historic and art glass, Asian and Japanese art, carved jade and stone, metalwork, engravings, Art Deco objects, marquetry and other unusual pieces with character.
Each object is selected individually from private collections, antique dealers, auctions and personal discoveries. Nothing is mass-selected, and most pieces are unique finds available only once.
Before an item is offered for sale, it is carefully examined, photographed and researched. Whenever possible, its history is reconstructed through museum collections, historical catalogues, specialist literature and documented auction records. Particularly unusual or valuable objects may also be discussed with experienced collectors and specialists.
Condition, dimensions, materials, dating and known provenance are described as openly and accurately as possible. Traces of age are not regarded merely as imperfections; they are often part of the object’s authentic history and evidence of the journey it has already made.
For me, collecting is not simply about ownership. It is about recognising craftsmanship, preserving objects that have survived through generations and helping them continue their journey into a new home or collection.
Some pieces have existed for more than a century. Others carry the memory of a particular region, workshop, artist or historical period. Each has its own character and story.
