Soy Nina, y Oceans and Streams trata sobre mi artesanía: piezas tejidas a mano con punto y ganchillo, diseñadas y elaboradas con esmero.

Me inspiran los colores y la energía pura del mar, los matices y las texturas de la naturaleza, y la audaz sencillez del arte moderno. Vivo en la increíblemente hermosa costa de Kent, y eso influye mucho en mi trabajo.

Cuando diseño y creo algo, me inclino por este tipo de cosas:

Algo que me pondría cuando hace fresco afuera, pero quiero sentarme en mi jardín y disfrutar de un café por la mañana o una copa de vino por la noche.

Algo cálido pero bonito que usaría todos los días en invierno, que me proteja del frío y que a la vez me haga recibir halagos.

Algo que un niño podría disfrutar usando o que unos padres primerizos podrían utilizar para mantener abrigado al recién nacido.

Mis piezas están hechas a mano, una a una.

I'm Nina, and Oceans and Streams is about my craft - handmade knitted and crocheted pieces designed and made with care.

The colours and raw energy of the sea, the shades and textures of the natural world, and the bold simplicity of modern art inspire me. I'm based on the unbelievably gorgeous Kent coast, and that influences a lot of what I make.

When I design and make something, I gravitate towards these types of things:

Something I'd wear when it's cool outside but I want to sit in my garden and enjoy a morning coffee or evening glass of wine.

Something warm but pretty I'd use every day in the winter that keeps the cold out but gets me compliments.

Something a child could enjoy wearing or a new parent could use to keep a new arrival cozy.

My pieces are handmade, one at a time.
