OUR CREATIVE WORKFLOW
Being part of a teddy bear design team means that we sometimes find ourselves brainstorming rather unbelievable things. From teensy tiny little scarves to ideas for our photoshoots, the process can be quite absorbing and absurd and the results often quite hilarious.

Mostly we have learnt that working with characterful teddy bears requires a lot of laughs and lightheartedness.

Our workflow starts with sourcing the finest materials, and often we will hand-dye our mohair fur in order to create unique shades and colours that are just right.

We have designed all our bear patterns ourselves after many years of bear making, but there are still plenty of work to be done in the conceptualising stage, as well as tweaking stages such as making the paws, muzzle, ears, eyes and doing the stuffing.

The sewing takes time and is delicate work and the stuffing also takes a gentle hand. Once the shapes take form, we focus on the individual aspects of the bear such as nose, and eyes. Finally a touch of airbrushing adds the shading and then there is the task of accessories such as tiny knitted scarves or jackets.

THE REVEAL
The final stage arrives when the bears are ready to reveal themselves in front of the camera.

This is when we usually stand back, and collectively breathe: "AAAH!"
