Creare, fare le cose con le mani, bellezza e utilità. L'arte e l'artigianato hanno sempre fatto parte della mia vita. Mia madre era una stilista e stilista di moda, e la prima donna della nostra famiglia a frequentare il college. Sono diventato la seconda generazione a ottenere una laurea in arte quando mi sono laureato al New York State College of Ceramics, School of Art & Design presso la Alfred University con il mio BFA in Studio Art. Sono cresciuto visitando importanti istituzioni metropolitane dedicate all'arte e alla cultura con i miei genitori, e da adolescente sono stato esposto alla nozione di artigianato come professione quando ho iniziato a lavorare per un vasaio in un artigianato locale fiera. L'idea di guadagnarsi da vivere attraverso la propria creatività combinando bellezza e utilità non mi ha mai abbandonato. Sono innamorato del movimento Arts and Crafts e della sua filosofia di circondarsi di oggetti scelti con cura, esteticamente gradevoli e pratici. Il rapporto degli Shaker con l'ambiente circostante è anche una delle mie ispirazioni, una tra le tante. Prendo queste influenze, così come la mia formazione nell'arte, molto in considerazione quando scelgo il tipo di oggetti che creo o abbellisco e il modo in cui sono adornati. Le mie opere miste e interdisciplinari sono state esposte in mostre personali e collettive a Washington, DC, Maryland, Kentucky e New York. Attualmente i miei pezzi artigianali si trovano nel centro di Louisville, Kentucky alla Craft Gallery.
È un piacere vedere le persone godere di ciò che ho fatto, per me condividere la mia creatività ed entusiasmo, e un onore quando quelle persone diventano i miei clienti e fanno proprio uno dei miei pezzi.

Attualmente risiedo a Louisville, Kentucky con mio marito, Neal e i nostri tre gatti, Rupert, La Vache e Oberon. Sono un appassionato escursionista, appassionato di zaino in spalla (oltre 200 miglia sull'AT nel 2008), volontario con il Servizio Forestale, appassionato di storia e reinattore storico con la SCA (10 ° C. persona anglosassone) e un professionista legale durante la settimana.

Creating, making things with your hands, beauty and usefulness. Art and craft have always been a part of my life. My mother was a fashion designer and stylist, and the first woman in our family to attend college. I became the second generation to obtain an art degree when I graduated from the New York State College of Ceramics, School of Art & Design at Alfred University with my BFA in Studio Art. I grew up visiting major metropolitan institutions dedicated to art and culture with my parents, and as a teenager I was exposed to the notion of craft as a profession when I began working for a potter at a local craft fair. The idea of making a living through one’s creativity while combining beauty and usefulness has never left me. I am enamored by the Arts and Crafts movement and its philosophy of surrounding oneself with carefully-chosen, aesthetically-pleasing and practical objects. The relationship of the Shakers to their surroundings is also one of my inspirations, one among many. I take these influences, as well as my training in art, very much into consideration when I choose the type of items that I create or embellish, and the manner in which they are adorned. My mixed-media and cross-disciplinary artwork has been shown in solo and in group shows in Washington, DC, Maryland, Kentucky and New York. Currently my craft pieces can be found in downtown Louisville, Kentucky at Craft Gallery.
It is a pleasure to witness folks enjoying what I have made, for me to share my creativity and enthusiasm, and an honor when those folks become my customers and make one of my pieces their own.

I currently reside in Louisville, Kentucky with my husband, Neal and our three cats, Rupert, La Vache and Oberon. I am an avid hiker, backpacking enthusiast (200+ miles on the AT in 2008), volunteer with the Forest Service, history nut and historical reinactor with the SCA (10th C. Anglo-Saxon persona) and a legal professional during the week.
