To maintain the quality of your dreadlocks, it is advisable to cover them while sleeping. This helps reduce frizz caused by movement during the night. Using a silk or satin pillowcase is recommended if you do not have a dedicated dread hair cover. Avoid cotton fabrics, as they can contribute to increased frizz.

It is normal to notice small frizzies on your dread extensions; these can be carefully trimmed with scissors. Over time, some messiness may occur, which can be managed by resealing the dreadlocks once or twice a year using steam and a damp towel. Keep in mind that the scalp typically sheds about 100 hairs daily. If your hair grows quickly, the interval for maintenance may be shortened.

Some kits require specific maintenance, and detailed instructions will be provided. Generally, it is recommended to wash your hair every 7-10 days, adjusting frequency to your personal preference. When washing, rinse your scalp thoroughly with diluted shampoo and water. Avoid blow-drying and exposing your dreadlocks to high temperatures, as these can cause damage

The duration for wearing your dreadlocks varies based on individual factors such as hair growth rate and hair type. On average, de-dreadlocks are worn for approximately 1.5 to 2.5 months. For optimal results, it is recommended not to wear the same set for longer than 1.5 months.

Please avoid using washing machines, vinegar, or boiling water on dreadlocks, as these methods may cause damage. I am not responsible for results if these are used.
