Since ancient times the jewel played a very important role in culture, it spoke of fertility, abundance, territory and invisible hierarchies, it sank its roots in the worldview of the people, extending its sensitivity to the world to which it belonged, reflecting the arduous work of the day and the dreams of each of our rites.
I have the feeling that with the passage of time, that value has been lost, everything just shines and adorns. We have lost the compass and the background, understanding this as the search for what we are. The free market and what is disposable has been undermining our route, making us walk without leaving a trace.
It is necessary to prioritize the value of things in every sense of the word and in the area of jewelry much more so. To claim it is to return to that ancestral root of the first artists who worked with their hands and sculpted their ideas of the sacred in an organic way, leaving something lasting and, at the same time, changing, like the sparkles of nature. That's what I try to do in my workshop, each piece says something, it has a story behind it. Serial “doing” has led us to lose ourselves and it is time to find ourselves again.
