What a fun project! I am an adventurous beginner to crochet and really appreciated the skills I picked up along the process. Although daunting at first, this is most certainly a guide that emphasizes creativity, and not a pattern. The pattern has been updated since with instructions and more guidance - but the version I used was great! I used a H.8 / 5.00MM hook, and as the concept of tension eludes me - a good deal of my squares ended up a little smaller than anticipated. Overall, I think the jacket is forgiving for that - and am very pleased with the outcome especially with a tighter hem. The lining was super fun to apply, but I was miserable at it and didn't like the look of the jacket partially open with the lining showing- so for the top 2 tapestry squares, I made two triangles and ss them in.

Was so easy to follow and make. Made a super cute birthday gift for my best friend. Love it!
