Like most women, I read every pregnancy article, pored through every baby book and surfed every mama-to-be website I could find when we first received news a baby would soon join our family. Immediately, I set my aspirations high: improve my diet, adjust my up-all-night sleep habits and cater my exercise regimen to my ever-changing pregnant body. My final goal? A good, strong pregnancy, an uneventful (speedy!) delivery and a healthy start for my unborn sweet pea.
In the weeks that followed, I ate well, slept well and found a fitness routine to match my fluctuating energy levels and expanding midsection All too often, tho, I’d read or hear the phrase “eating for two.” As a fit-minded chica, I felt slighted by the dated cliché! I wondered… why don’t we celebrate the healthful and active things we do “for two” during pregnancy? Why not “walking for two,” or “yoga for two” or heck... “shopping for two?”
Frustrated by work-out sessions in oversized t-shirts and baggy shorts, I sought a more fitted and functional alternative...
Just a few short months before we welcomed our son into the world, Tees for Two Activewear™ was born. Initially launched in Virginia, Tees for Two relocated to North Carolina in August 2008 and rebranded as Love Your Mother™ in Las Vegas in 2014.
