Hi, I'm a 90s kid — and now a mom of two girls — who still tears up a little when a certain song comes on.
I started this shop because I kept finding myself mid-conversation saying things like "remember when we just... went outside?" or pulling out an old photo album and realizing how different it felt to hold a memory instead of scroll past one. But there's another layer to my nostalgia too.
I grew up Korean-American in the 90s, which meant bibimbap in my lunchbox before anyone knew what bibimbap was, church and Korean school on Sundays, and spending a lot of time feeling like I existed somewhere between two worlds. K-pop wasn't cool yet. Korean food wasn't trendy yet. We were just... living it, quietly, before the rest of the world caught up.
90s Side B Studio is my way of holding onto both of those experiences — the universal stuff, like cassette tapes and staying outside until the lights came on, and the more specific stuff, like being Korean in America before it was a whole cultural moment. Because both deserve to be remembered, and maybe even worn on a t-shirt.
The name comes from that moment when you'd flip a mixtape over and the real songs started. The ones someone picked just for you. That's the energy I'm going for here.
Everything I make is inspired by cassette tapes, Saturday morning cartoons, handwritten notes, kimchi jars, and the kind of childhood that happened mostly outside and entirely offline. I design for people who recorded songs off the radio, who knew their neighbors' home phone numbers by heart, and who maybe also grew up explaining their lunch to curious classmates.
Now that I'm raising two girls of my own, I think about this stuff a lot — what to pass on, what to preserve, what it means to grow up present. These designs are my small answer to that.
Thoughtful over trendy. Nostalgic but not stuck. Personal enough to feel like yours.
Glad you found this little corner of the internet. 🤍

Hi, I’m a mom of two girls. I once dreamt of being an artist and now daydream between meetings and Slack messages at my day job. This shop is my creative outlet to explore corporate life, 90s nostalgia, modern girl power, and more.
