One guy's hobby...
By day, I work with cutting edge technology as a librarian specializing in web development and user experience. By night, I love to play with technologies that nearly forgotten. Fountain pens are my favorite, but I also have letterpress, old folding cameras, antique toasters, ceramic art tile, and an old US Navy reel-to-reel tape recorder hanging around the house. I got hooked working with archaic technologies volunteering at an early American trades museum in Madison, Indiana back in the 90s.
This shop is the overflow of my hobbies. Currently, it's the fountain pens I've purchased over the years but don't frequently use. I'm selling them so I can afford to buy more pens. Why? Each vintage pen has its own unique writing experience and feel in hand and there's always another pen I want to try. It's a bit addictive to be honest— especially once I discovered how to purchase pens from Japan and could get my hands on pens not common in the United States.
Notes about my pens for sale: My vintage pens for sale will be clean and ready for writing. I won't sell a pen that cannot be written with. However, they are not "restored" pens unless I specifically note. Any defects I've noticed, however small, I will note in the description. If the defects are large enough to influence the pen's ability to write I will clearly mark the pen as "parts" in the title and price them accordingly. My favorite shop for restored fountain pens is Midnight Pens here on Etsy.

Pictured: Our shop tabby is Pixel Danger Tail and her eyes are clearly saying "Dude, I am not a pen rest." She puts up with me because I give her treats. Disclosure — her tail is AI generated. The rest of the cat is very real.
