Special interest to skillfull hobby
Siempre me han encantado los peluches y me ha interesado la taxidermia. Pero la taxidermia estándar siempre me pareció rígida y aburrida, y los peluches más vivos e interesantes eran demasiado caros. Aprendí a hacer peluches con piel sintética y tela minky, e hice muchos para regalar a amigos, familiares y a mí mismo. En 2025, descubrí la abundancia de pieles de animales en Etsy y decidí probar la taxidermia. Me encanta cada paso del proceso, desde verter la resina para los ojos y pintarlos, hasta personalizar las formas para la forma única de la cara de cada animal, hasta los toques finales de cepillado y la exposición para la venta. Hago mis peluches de forma bastante original, con bocas abiertas y cabezas suaves y esponjosas, usando pieles que normalmente no se considerarían para montar, lo que me permite mantenerlas a un precio asequible. ¡Me encanta poder compartir mis aficiones favoritas con los demás!
I've always loved plushies and been interested in taxidermy. But standard taxidermy always struck me as stiff and boring, and the more lively and interesting soft mounts were too expensive. I taught myself how to make stuffed animals using faux fur and minky fabric, and I made many as gifts for friends, family, and myself. In 2025, I discovered the abundance of animal pelts on Etsy and decided to give taxidermy a shot. I love every step of the process, from pouring the resin for the eyes and painting them, to custom-making the forms for each animal's unique face shape, to the finishing touches of brushing and displaying for sale. I make my mounts fairly unconventionally with open mouths and soft, squishy heads using pelts that would generally not be considered for mounting, which allows me to keep them at an affordable price for others. I love being able to share my favorite hobbies with others!
