Lessons in Love
Emerald Coast Reflections began as a homeschool project. As part of our children’s learning experience, our family began to study graphic art. Spread out on the floor around the television, we scribbled on our drawing pads and watched countless YouTube videos about drawing adorable animals, fairies, and princesses. There were some tears when a particular drawing didn’t come out quite right, but learning was happening, and at some point, we made the jump to digital art. We continued our journey learning about layers, brush packs and vector art. At some point, our son, while researching 3-D printers, discovered an advertisement for a laser engraver. He was fascinated with how any graphic could be burned into wood or plastic. It was difficult to justify the cost, but in the end, we saw this as an opportunity to instill an entrepreneurial spirit in our children, and Emerald Coast Reflections was born. From running the laser to digital design and to photography, each of our kids plays a role in the running of our shop. Now, our family is 100% dedicated to creating beautiful gifts, each a work of art that conveys your heartfelt sentiment.
