Care instructions

Our knives are made from repurposed mid-century high carbon tool steel not stainless steel and will therefore rust if neglected or left in water for a long time. However, rust can be easily prevented.

1. Hand wash and dry soon after each use. (never put a wood-handled knife in the dishwasher!)

2. Never leave knife to soak in water this is bad for the steel and the wood.

3. if accidental rust spots do occur, rubbing the spots with steel wool or a scotch-brite pad will remove them. Wipe blade with a tiny bit of cooking oil after this step.
